How is an AI chatbot different from an ordinary rule-based chatbot?
A rule-based chatbot only knows the scenarios someone predicted by hand, and falls over at the first unusual question. A chatbot built on language models understands a question asked in any words and answers based on your data: catalogue, prices, stock. The difference is like the one between a phone menu and a conversation with a good salesperson.
How will the chatbot know my products and prices?
We connect it to your store's data: the product catalogue, specifications, prices and stock levels. The chatbot answers from that data, not from the model's general knowledge, so it talks about your offer, not about the internet.
Can the chatbot give wrong information, and how do you prevent it?
Language models can make things up, which is why we design advisors to answer only from the store's data, admit when they do not know something, and hand difficult cases to a human. Before launch we test the bot on real customer questions, and after launch we monitor answer quality.
Are my product data and customer data safe?
Yes. At the start we agree which data the bot actually needs (usually only the catalogue and stock, no personal data), and we configure processing in line with GDPR. The exact data flow model is described in the implementation documentation before anything goes live.
How long does it take to implement a product advisor?
Typically from a few weeks to a few months, depending on the quality of your product data and the scope of integrations. A test version on a sample of the catalogue comes first, so you can see real conversations before full rollout.
